About the Show:
Chicago Philharmonic brings a vivid multisensory experience to the Navy Pier’s East Stage at Chicago Live! in partnership with In the Realm of Senses. This genre‑blending ensemble features violinist and producer Jeff Yang, cellist and composer Jean Hatmaker, dancer Kim Bigler, and visual artists Liviu Pasare and Farnaz Khosh Sirat. Together they perform original arrangements of Saint Saëns’ Danse Macabre, Vargas’s La Llorona, and more, creating a fusion of sound, movement, and visual storytelling that reflects the Philharmonic’s bold creative reach.
Chicago Live! is Navy Pier’s free, annual celebration of Chicago’s performing arts community, a free two day festival that brings more than one hundred artists and organizations to stages across the lakefront. It highlights the city’s creative breadth through continuous music, dance, theater, comedy, and multidisciplinary performance, creating an accessible showcase of the talent and innovation that define Chicago’s cultural landscape.
