What is Chicago Phil Chamber?

Chicago Phil Chamber, presented through the Chicago Park District’s “Night Out in the Parks” initiative, brings free chamber concerts to Chicago parks in local communities in Chicago’s South and West sides.

About the Program:

“We are all made of stories…” – Charles de Lint

Although the world is a big place and the human experience is as diverse as the number of lives lived on it, we share some core values: we sing, we dance, we tell each other stories about what we’ve known and what we’ve loved. This program, which includes not only a peek into the folk music of America, but from around the world, shows us that the music we share with one another, especially when it evokes the spirit of a culture, can help bring us together in ways that little else can.
