The Chicago Philharmonic Society announces two new Board Directors who will support the nonprofit’s mission to excite, engage and transform diverse audiences with the beauty and power of great music. The new board directors began their terms with the final board meeting of the Chicago Philharmonic’s FY2024 on June 9, 2025. The two new board members are:

    • Catriona Duncan, CFA, Co-Founder and Portfolio Manager, Sankota Capital LLC
    • Edward Foreman, MST, CPA, Tax Partner, Strategic Finance & Risk Leader, PwC

“I am personally delighted to welcome such strong new directors, and I look forward to serving with each of them in the coming year,” said Board Chairman Tom Manning. “Cat and Ed bring passion, enthusiasm, and diverse expertise to our work.”

Catriona Duncan, CFA, is a Co-Founder and Portfolio Manager of Sankota Capital LLC, an investment firm focused on active management of small- and mid-cap equities. Previously, she was a research analyst at William Blair Investment Management and an equity analyst at Columbia Threadneedle Investments. Before that, she was a vice president on the U.S. growth team at Piper Jaffray and a senior analyst in public equity investments at Morgan Creek Capital Management.

Catriona is a member of the CFA Institute and CFA Society Chicago. She also serves as CIO of the Judy Family Foundation and as a member of the Executive Council for Cara Collective. Catriona received a B.A. in government from Harvard University and an M.B.A., with honors, from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business, where she was a Howard J. Marks Scholar.

In addition to her many achievements, Catriona joins the Chicago Philharmonic Board of Directors as the granddaughter of Chairman Emeritus Paul R. Judy, a visionary leader and arts champion who played a vital role in the reorganization of the Chicago Philharmonic in 2012.

“My grandfather believed strongly in the mission of the Chicago Philharmonic and the transformational power of great music,” Catriona said. “I’m honored to have the opportunity to further his legacy.”

Edward Foreman is a strategic financial executive and PwC partner with over 30 years of experience in professional services advising asset managers, family officers, and nonprofits on enterprise risk, tax strategy, and operational growth.
